Prime Minister of Government of Kosovo, Mr. Hashim Thaçi and the former Minister of Defence of Republic of Albania and the Leader of the Republican Party of Albania, Fatmir Mediu, highly appreciated the invitation made to Albania to join NATO. Prime Minister Thaçi and the RP Leader Mediu have emphasized the importance of the invitation to join NATO for peace, security and economic development of Albania and the region.
“This represents an extraordinary success for Albania, and the entire Albanian politics, for citizens of Albania as well as a success for peace and stability of the region“, claimed Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi, commenting on the invitation made to Albania for membership in NATO.
Prime Minister expressed his conviction for the strengthening of cooperation between Kosovo and Albania.
“We will have a very responsible, multi-dimensional and productive cooperation”, claimed Prime Minister Thaçi.
While congratulating Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi on assuming the duty of the Prime Minister and for the declaration of independence of Kosovo, the former Albanian minister and the leader of Republican Party of Albania stressed:
“I am fully convinced that, under the leadership of Mr. Thaçi, Government of Kosovo will do a great job for the citizens of Kosovo and will open new opportunities for the development of mutual cooperation between Kosovo and Albania”.
At this meeting, many potentials of cooperation between Kosovo and Albania were valued and special emphasis was given to the importance of coordinating this cooperation.
Prime Minister Thaçi and Mr. Mediu expressed their readiness to contribute and support all positive developments in the process of cooperation between Kosovo and Albania.
