Prime Minister Mustafa visited the Jasharaj family in Fushë Kosovë/Kosovo Polje to express his condolences following a tragic loss of their son due to a stray dog bite.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Mustafa pledged that the Government shall engage to bring changes to the country and ensure normal life for the citizens.

“It is a great loss and pain for all of us, since we are talking about a young person; but also for very tough social conditions of these families, whose children, due to lack of elementary items for life, are obliged to look for food even in dumpsters and garbage, and this is a sign that it is our responsibility to make changes in this country in order to ensure normal life to the people and protect the children from the risks they face daily, even by dogs and other dangers”, stressed Prime Minister Mustafa.

Also, Prime Minister Mustafa said that the Government together with the local authorities shall commit to prevent such tragedies in the future.

From his side, the Mayor of Fushë Kosovë/Kosovo Polje, Burim Berisha, stressed that such cases are typical social cases which may repeat anywhere in Kosovo.

“It is a case about the rapport between the people and the environment they live in. We also discussed with the Prime Minister to have this issue treated at the level of Kosovo. Only this year we have treated 500 dogs and there is no possibility for full elimination of this, if we do not make a General Plan, whereby their treatment would be implemented simultaneously in Prishtina/Priština, Lipjan/Lipljan and Fushë Kosovë/Kosovo Polje and all other municipalities” stressed Mayor Berisha.
