Prime Minister Mustafa also said that the company “Frutex” should be taken as an example by others in Kosovo.

“Companies like these do not have problems because they are competitive, they have very good quality and good packaging and product design which responds to the request the European standards. This is a very good example for the other companies to do so and be more present in the world market and the European market “, said the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Isa Mustafa highly appreciated the important and the Stabilization and Association Agreement, opening possibilities of Kosovo producers to reach the European market.

“Kosovo has positive trends now in export growth, especially beverages and this will impact positively on the promotion of our products abroad, but also in the replacement of imports that are not necessary, because we have much better quality product which we produce here than to import them. We now need to apply maximally the signing of the Stabilization and Association Agreement and the entry into force of the agreement on April 1 this year, in order to open the possibility that our markets to participate in the European market with around 500 million inhabitants, whicht is a very good chance, “said Prime Minister Mustafa.

President of the company “Frutex” Shaqir Palushi, thanked Prime Minister Mustafa for the support and asked to proceed further with the reform and improvement of fiscal policy.
“These fiscal policy firstly as the manufacturer will empower us, because I think that manufacturing companies will be a promoter of economic development of Kosovo, creating of new jobs and of course to improve the trade balance, which unfortunately it is very negative. Also, we expect that through the entrance into force of the SAA for manufacturers, primarily through grants that are scheduled for the next five years, at a value of over 500 million, to invest, to create opportunities for increasing capacity and to be more present in the local market, but also in the markets of the European Union, “emphasised Palushi.

According to him, the company “Frutex” in the past year has exported over 240 trucks in 16 countries around the world, while forecasts for this year are to be increased from 20 to 30 percent of exports.

On the enquiry of journalists related to the issue of appointment of PRB, Prime Minister Mustafa expressed his belief that there is no reason to jeopardize the visa liberalization process, for the fact that Kosovo has met all required criteria.

“There is no reason to risk because we have met all the criteria. Regarding the PRB procurement system, I can tell you that last year we have completed the Public Procurement Regulatory Commission, we have amended the Law on Procurement, we moved this year to e-procurement, and yesterday we set stages of implementing electronic procurement during the year in all central agencies, and next year we are going do in local government. The issue of electing members of the PRB is a practical matter, which if notfinished yesterday, it will be finish within a week. These are issues that will always occur, because we will always have elections and re-elections. But it is important for us to be ensured by the law, this body be independent, and professional, “said Prime Minister Mustafa.

Regarding the completion of the Cabinet, Prime Minister Isa Mustafa said that there will be a completion as a result of election of Mr. Thaci in the position of President of the country. “Other reforming issues remain ongoing issues because we will always measure performance of the Government and we will make changes accordingly,” said Prime Minister Mustafa.
