The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, today welcomed the Speaker of the Assembly of Albania, Elisa Spiropali. President Spiropali is making her first official visit to Kosovo after taking office recently.
Emphasizing the excellent and fraternal relations between our two countries, Prime Minister Kurti expressed his deep gratitude for the continuous support that Albania has provided in forums and membership processes in international organizations, and especially in Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe.
In the conversation, the expansion of cooperation between the two countries was discussed, as a continuation of the work that has been done in the last three years.
Prime Minister Kurti also singled out some of the joint projects, among them the inauguration this year of ALPEX for the union of energy markets Kosovo-Albania or even the construction of the Pristina-Durra railway that also unites the historical cities of Gjakova and Shkodra, as well as the opportunities presented for the present and the future.
He emphasized that as two parliamentary republics, the cooperation between our two Assemblies has reached the highest peaks and a new level.
The visit of President Spiropali is proof of the joint commitment to deepening relations and strengthening the ties between the two republics, as we commit to new opportunities for interaction for joint development and bringing citizens on both sides of the border closer to each other.
Prime Minister Kurti thanked Mrs. Spiropali for the conversation and wished him a fruitful stay in Kosovo.
