Prime Minister Kurti welcomed the Minister for European Affairs of the Czech Republic, Martin Dvorak

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, today welcomed the Minister for European Affairs of the Czech Republic, Martin Dvorak.

At the beginning of the meeting, Prime Minister Kurti welcomed Minister Dvorak back to Kosovo after more than two decades. He thanked him for his great work and commitment in a difficult period for our country. Martin Dvorak had served as the administrator of the Municipality of Istog and Gjakova through the duration of the years 1999-2002.

Also, Prime Minister Kurti expressed his gratitude to the Czech Republic for all the support it has given and continues to give to Kosovo, including the Czech Republic’s contribution in the field of defense and security through the NATO mission in Kosovo (KFOR). and the mission of the European Union for the rule of law (EULEX), the support through voting in the processes of Kosovo’s membership in international organizations and recently its role in the successful process of visa liberalization.

He informed the Czech Minister Dvorak about the latest developments, the democratic progress also evidenced according to international reports, the growth noted in the economic indicators, the main achievements and policies of the government, and the priority areas of this year which are also reflected in the budget allocations for 2024.

The Minister for European Affairs of the Czech Republic, Martin Dvorak, expressed his happiness for the visit and the hospitality, as well as for the changes and development in the country since the time he served in Kosovo. He said that the Czech Republic is a close supporter and friend of Kosovo and its Euro-Atlantic integration.
Together they discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries, with an emphasis on the possibilities of their advancement.

Martin Dvorak had served as the administrator of the Municipality of Istog and Gjakova through the duration of the years 1999-2002.

In this meeting, the Prime Minister was accompanied by the Ambassador of Kosovo to the Czech Republic, Albesjana Iberhysaj, and the Chairman of the Friendship Group with the Czech Republic, Arjeta Rexhepi and the Deputy Minister of Economy, Getoar Mjeku.

After the meeting with Prime Minister Kurti, Czech Minister Dvorak was also welcomed by the First Deputy Prime Minister, Besnik Bislimi, with whom he held a joint press conference.
