The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Hajrulla Çeku, the Mayor of the Municipality of Podujeva, Shpejtim Bulliqi and the Deputy of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, Duda Balje, today welcomed the Mayor of the Municipality of Linz in Austria, Klauk Luger, who was accompanied by the deputy ambassador of Austria in Kosovo, Martin Schaller.
Prime Minister Kurti welcomed Mayor Luger and thanked him for the very good relations with the Albanian community in the municipality that he heads.
The meeting discussed the possibilities of cooperation, with emphasis in the field of economy, technology and education, especially through our emigration in Austria. Prime Minister Kurti informed Mayor Luger about the results and achievements of the two-year government, about economic indicators in export and foreign investments, and about progress in the rule of law and the fight against corruption.
The Mayor of the Austrian Municipality, Luger, is staying in Kosovo on a two-day visit, and in addition to meetings with representatives of the institutions, he is also visiting several different private companies. In 2021, the Municipality of Podujeva and the Municipality of Linz signed a twinning agreement.
