The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, today welcomed a German delegation from the Land of Bavaria, led by Dr. Gerhard Hopp, consisting of members of the Bavarian Parliament, representatives of the Bavarian Chancellery and representatives of businesses from Bavaria, who were accompanied by the German Ambassador to Kosovo, Jorn Rohde.
During the conversation, the strong and close relations between the two states and the peoples of the two countries, Kosovo and Germany, and the role that the Albanian diaspora in Germany has in this direction were emphasized. The Prime Minister highlighted that our emigration has about 100,000 members from Bavaria alone.
In addition to the discussion about the political developments and the goals of the Republic of Kosovo for Euro-Atlantic integration, for which the Bavarian parliamentarians expressed their support, the topic was also the possibilities of economic and commercial cooperation, especially through economic chambers.
Prime Minister Kurti informed the guests about government policies aimed at economic development and employment, including the dual system of education, inspired by the model of German-speaking countries, which in Kosovo is being implemented in 23 schools in a total of 14 municipalities with 12 profiles and digitalization of services for a better environment of doing business.
He thanked those present for their visit to Kosovo and their support for our country, while he called on business representatives to research the opportunities and advantages that Kosovo offers to foreign investors.
