The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the third Deputy Prime Minister Emilija Redzepi, welcomed a delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina to his office yesterday.
The delegation included prominent personalities such as Shemsudin Mehmedovic, MP in the Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the well-known artist from Sarajevo, Mensur Kadric, author of the poem about Srebrenica, together with representatives of non-governmental organizations of the Bosniak community of Kosovo.
The delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina visited our country to participate in the commemoration ceremony of the genocide in Srebrenica, organized by the cabinet of Deputy Prime Minister Emilija Redzepi. This event not only brought attention to the importance of remembering the victims but also served as an opportunity to strengthen international ties and solidarity between the communities of Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the meeting, the prime minister welcomed the guests from Bosnia and Herzegovina, stressing the importance of keeping the memory of the past in order to draw lessons for the future. They also emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas of common interest, as well as the need for dialogue and exchange of experiences between Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina presented the Prime Minister with the symbol of the Srebrenica Flower, one of 8,372 of these made in filigree, and a Bosnian national flag.
