The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, was welcomed today in Ankara, at the Presidential Complex, by the President of the Republic of Turkey, Rexhep Taip Erdogan, for a bilateral meeting and a working lunch.
They discussed bilateral relations, inter-institutional relations, regional developments and new opportunities for cooperation in the economic and commercial spheres, as well as those of security and defense.
On Monday, the first economic forum of the businesses of Kosovo and Turkey will take place, which represents an opportunity for deepening economic cooperation and increasing commercial exchanges and foreign investments.
Prime Minister Kurti expressed his gratitude and that of the people of Kosovo for Turkey’s continuous support throughout all stages of the building of the state of Kosovo and its development, as well as his thanks for Turkey’s support for Kosovo’s membership in NATO and for the vote of the Turkish deputies in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on April 16 of this year and the position of the Government of Turkey in the Committee of Ministers of this organization.
This was the second bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Kurti and President Erdogan. The first meeting of this type took place in Istanbul in February 2023.
