Rahovec, 6 September 2024
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Faton Peci and the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Hajrulla Çeku, today visited the traditional festival “Hardh Fest”, which is held in the Municipality of Rahovec .
Prime Minister Kurti singled out the fact that this festival is visited by 100,000 people, as he made a public invitation for as many citizens as possible to visit it until September 8, because this is how we support local producers who have become important for the country’s economy and state exports.
“Of the 8 million liters of wine that are produced, 7.3 million are for export, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development has contributed a lot here, which has supported vintners with 1050 euros per hectare, while it has supported winemakers with 8 cents per liter from 4 cents as it was earlier”, stressed Prime Minister Kurti.
He added that until now, during our government, the farmers and vintners of the Municipality of Rahovec are the beneficiaries of 21 million euros through grants and subsidies, while by the end of the year this figure will reach up to 26 million.
In addition to the support of vintners from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, the “Vine Fest” Festival is also supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
