The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari and the two deputy ministers of this department, Mentor Arifaj and Resul Makreshi, visited the Kosovo Business Registration Agency (ARBK) today, where they were received by the director of this Agency, Lebibe Haliti.
The latter informed Prime Minister Kurti about the work done so far, the facilitation of procedures through the digitization of the process for performing services, the plans for the future and the Agency’s challenges. Congratulating her on the results, commitment and new services that ARBK has recently started to offer, Prime Minister Kurti gave his support for the further advancement of this very important institution for the state and businesses.
During the conversation, the importance of digitizing as many services as possible, which contribute directly to the business environment, the development of the industry and the increase in the productivity of businesses, was emphasized. Also, it was discussed about the role that ARBK can play in relation to dual education, which is already in its second year of implementation.
ARBK was established in 2002. From its establishment until today, more than 106 thousand businesses have been registered in ARBK. There are a total of 15 people employed in the staff, including from the ranks of the non-Serbian majority community, and there are a total of 32 municipal centers, including the municipal center in Leposaviq that was opened for the first time last week. Last week, the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade (MINT), namely the Agency for the Registration of Businesses in Kosovo (ARBK) signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Municipality of North Mitrovica through which the ARBK office will be consolidated within this municipality where new businesses will be able to register and other services will be offered to all businesses.
After the visit to ARBK, Prime Minister Kurti was welcomed to the Ministry of Industry, Enterprise and Trade by Minister Hajdari and the ministry’s staff. Together they discussed the plans and priorities of 2024
