The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, visited the Gjonbalaj family in Pristina today for condolences.
Accompanied by the Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, the Mayor of Podujeva, Shpejtim Bulliqi, and members of the Assembly of Kosovo, he expressed his sincere condolences to his family and friends for the loss of their beloved, Avdi Gjonbalaj.
Avdi Gjonbalaj, a hydrotechnical engineer by profession, had deep knowledge of the water situation in Kosovo and the Balkans, which, in addition to his unreserved contribution in life, has left behind a precious legacy of attitudes, analyses, studies and archival research. He supervised the works and followed all phases of the construction of the irrigation system “Ibër-Lepenc” where the dam of the Ujman reservoir lake is located.
