The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has visited the family members of Beqir Sefa, Rifat Zeka and Shemë Mustafa, three Kosovo policemen who were kidnapped yesterday by Serbian forces on the border with Serbia and within the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.

In Mitrovica, the Prime Minister was welcomed by the family members of Shemë Mustafa, including his brother who was also a border policeman. The family members appreciated the support from the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and from the people, which is easing their burden.

In the village of Peran in the Municipality of Podujeva, he was received by the family members of Beqir Sefa, among whom was his son, who is also a member of the Kosovo Police in Pristina and engaged in the Task Force for the North.

The Prime Minister informed the families that the Liaison Office of the Republic of Kosovo in Serbia is in contact with the institutions there, in an effort to get as soon as possible and as much information as possible about the condition of the kidnapped policemen. They thanked the Prime Minister for the visit, as well as for his resistance.

In the village of Letanc of the Municipality of Podujeva, Prime Minister Kurti then continued with the visit to the family of Rifat Zeka. He expressed his support and solidarity with the family.

The Prime Minister reiterated that the Republic of Kosovo is within its rights and that the evidence possessed by the state institutions documents that the Kosovo Police officials were within the territory of the Republic. The policemen were on duty, fighting smuggling, in that part where 16 illegal roads were closed earlier.

The family members expressed their gratitude for the visit and the care shown, and emphasized their full trust in the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.
