The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Hajrulla Çeku, today visited the Emra family on the occasion of the passing away of the academician, professor and painter, Tahir Emra, also known as one of the pioneers of visual art in Kosovo.
In this condolence visit, in which he was welcomed by the family members of the deceased, Prime Minister Kurti praised the outstanding figure of the painter Tahir Emra, as an academic who will inspire future generations. In the book of memories, the prime minister wrote that his work will live and inspire generations after us and artists outside of us.
Prime Minister Kurti expressed his most sincere condolences to the family of the academician, his friends and the cultural community.
“Academic painter, dear professor, patriotic artist, man of our country and people, whose work will live and inspire generations after us and artists outside of us. We all keep the name Tahir firmly in our memory. With longing and sorrow, with honors and admiration,” Prime Minister Kurti wrote in the book of memories.
