In several consecutive meetings, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the Deputy Prime Minister for Minority Affairs and Human Rights, Emilija Rexhepi, talked today with groups of representatives of Bosnian and Serbian NGOs from Kosovo, including those operating in the municipalities. in the north of our country.
Together they discussed the general socio-economic and political situation, recent developments and current topics. Prime Minister Kurti and Deputy Prime Minister Rexhepi were informed about the activities of NGOs, the work they do in communities and their projects in promoting the rights of non-majority communities and improving their well-being. They also talked about the issue of opening the main bridge of Mitrovica over the Iber. The Prime Minister listened attentively to everyone’s points of view and comments, including those about possible reactions. He emphasized the good will of the government shown to all non-majority communities, without distinction, for the entire mandate, through employment and transfer programs.
SuperPuna, Government for Families, paid internships, the Kosovo Generation Unlimited program, Internship in Government, the 3 million fund for non-majority communities, various grants, support packages and measures for efficiency, are now well-known names in which the good and democratic hand of the state of Kosovo is felt. All citizens have benefited from all this without distinction.
And that will and interest also conveys the goal of opening the bridge in Mitrovica, from which we benefit economically, with the free movement of goods, in addition to the social and cultural aspect with more frequent exchanges and more stable integration. In this spirit of cooperation, a public meeting was also held with the citizens of North Mitrovica Municipality on August 8 in the premises of the Municipal Assembly of this same municipality.
The Prime Minister thanked the representatives present for the open discussion and their continued commitment to their particular community and the society of our common state.
