The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, held a meeting with the Head of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, Michael Davenport.
They discussed the progress in the common areas of cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the OSCE office in Kosovo in the field of the rights of non-majority communities in the country.
The Prime Minister emphasized the Government’s increased commitment to non-majority communities and increased support for the Ministry of Communities and Returns (MKK), as well as constant engagement with the Office of Community Affairs in the Office of the Prime Minister and the Office of the Language Commissioner.
Other current topics were also discussed. Regarding Serbia’s request to hold elections in the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that, as he informed the head of the OSCE in his November 17 response, an inter-state agreement is necessary for this and that the request for a such an agreement must come from Serbia as an interested party.
