The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by government cabinet ministers and deputies of the Parliamentary Group of the VETEVENDOSJE Movement paid tribute today and laid wreaths at the cemetery of the city of Gjakova, in honor of the 25th anniversary of the fall of the martyrs, Elton Zherka and Përmet Vula.
Eltoni and Përmeti have fallen in the battle of Junik in direct confrontation with the enemy forces of Serbia together with Bekim Berisha and Bedri Shala, said Prime Minister Kurti, after the tributes in the cemetery of the city of Gjakova.
Exalting and honoring their figures as indomitable patriots, who will inspire us and will inspire us forever, the prime minister added that the martyrs have the date of their heroic fall which is not just the day of death, but the day of the change of life that gave life and freedom to our people, but at the same time it also reminds us, not on every anniversary, but every day, how high was the price that our people paid for the liberation that took place, and for the freedom that they enjoy.
After the honors, Prime Minister Kurti said that Përmeti and Eltoni come from patriotic families with good civic education, which have been witnessed among many generations and without a doubt will be remembered with piety for many generations that will come after us.
