On the 24th anniversary of the Reçak Massacre, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the President Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, the Speaker of the Assembly, Glauk Konjufca and members of the government cabinet, paid tribute and laid wreaths at the memorial complex, in Recak, in honor of the civilian victims massacred by the Serbian forces, on January 15, 1999.
After the tributes, in the company of Ambassador William Walker, diplomatic representatives accredited in Kosovo and in the presence of many citizens, Prime Minister Kurti continued with honors at the cemeteries of those killed by Serbian forces, as well as visited the statue of Ambassador Walker.
Honoring the victims of the Reçak massacre, Prime Minister Kurti said that every year at the beginning of January and every time we come to visit and pay homage to Reçak, in front of the side of the memorial wall that bears the 45 portraits of the civilian victims killed in the village of Shtime, we inevitably recall the images of their bodies, massacred on January 15, 1999 by the Serbian police.
After the tributes, Prime Minister Kurti participated in the commemorative academy, on the 24th anniversary of the Reçak Massacre, activities that were organized by the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, where President Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, the Mayor of the Municipality gave a speech of Shtime, Qemajl Aliu and Ambassador William Walker.
