Podujevë, 23 January, 2024

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, and the Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, accompanied by the Mayor of Podujeva, Shpejtim Bulliqi and members of the Assembly, municipal representatives and activists, today paid a condolence visit to the family of the young Lulzim Fejzullahu who died on Saturday from the severe blows he received from two of his peers on January 14 of this year in Podujevë.

After expressing his condolences on behalf of himself and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, the Prime Minister said that the tragic loss of a young man’s life has shocked us all and is a great pain not only for his family but also for the entire country.

Young people should always see the potential of society and companionship in their peers, never of threat and attack. The deceased, Lulzim Fejzullahu was an orphan child who needed support and care from everyone for a fulfilling life. Today, his tragic case should be a moment of reflection for everyone.

The cruel murder of Lulzim Fejzullahu should be a warning to everyone, including the institutions, to work more with young men and women, to orient themselves as much as possible towards education and training, so that they do not see violence as a solution and to stay as far as possible from aggressive behavior and acts of violence that can end in tragic consequences.

Prime Minister Kurti called for the security and justice bodies to handle this case with the highest responsibility and called for justice.
