Prishtina, 28 December, 2023

On the eve of the New Year 2024, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, organized and welcomed the staff of the Prime Minister’s Office for an occasion cocktail, to express his gratitude for the work and commitment of each official throughout the year 2023.

Prime Minister Kurti’s complete speech:

Allow me to thank all of you, each and every one of you, for the work, commitment, role, contribution you have given during 2023.

The fact that we are celebrating 2024 before the start of 2024, that is, in the last days of 2023, shows that we are also happy for 2023. However, at the same time, we want 2024 to be an even better year, much better than this year, which we are slowly and surely leaving behind.

There in the government building we are arranged vertically, up, 11 floors, I am in the highest eventual political, institutional and also physical position, which is the Ministry of Finance as we all know. Here we have the chance to meet together, not only in small groups in offices or when we move quickly through elevators and corridors, and it is a kind of continuation of those Open Balcony meetings, which we cannot do now because of the winter season, which we will certainly continue in the spring.

I know that you have many external and internal challenges and battles behind you. Sometimes it is not yet known if they were external or internal, but what is important is the knowledge in the work you do, the courage for the decisions you make and also the tireless work, regardless of the obstacles that come your way. So knowledge, courage and work is the triangle of pillars that holds the functions of each of us from the official, who sits at the entrance to me as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo.
Maybe sometimes we didn’t manage to make their work easier, as much as we wanted and as much as we could, but believe us that we did everything with good intentions, not sparing the skills or the time we had, which we often don’t have rich.

I thank you all for the overtime work, for all the commitment you have made and beyond the competence so that the Republic of Kosovo flourishes, citizens have rights and well-being, our international image is improved as much as possible and the hope of our people to grow for a bright future that should leave no one behind.

Thank you all once again and happy 2024.
