The stay of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, in Belfast, continued with the next meeting with the political spectrum in the country, this time with the leader of the opposition in Northern Ireland, the social democrat Matthew O’Toole.
They discussed the common democratic values and principles that distinguish them as leaders from the social democratic sister parties. Furthermore, the importance of learning from the past was also addressed, in the context of the history and experiences of our countries. I was also mentioned the danger posed by the misuse of social media in fueling conflicts, intolerance and ethnic disagreements.
Expressing gratitude for the hospitality and the meeting held, Prime Minister Kurti thanked Mr. O’Toole for the conversation and the views exchanged.
