In Munich, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, also met the Commander of the NATO Allied Forces Command in Naples, Admiral Stuart Munsch.
They discussed the security situation in the country, with an emphasis on the security of the border between Kosovo and Serbia, and the cooperation of security and defense institutions with KFOR. Prime Minister Kurti said that he has regular communication with the KFOR commander in Kosovo, and that the Republic of Kosovo remains committed to its goal of membership in NATO, highlighting the fact that Kosovo has increased its defense budget in accordance with NATO’s criteria of 2% of the Gross Domestic Product.
Prime Minister Kurti expressed his gratitude to Admiral Munsch and NATO for the close cooperation, active contribution and continuous support they have given to Kosovo after the terrorist and paramilitary attack of September 24 in Banjska of Zveçan, stressing that the perpetrators of this attack are still free in Serbia.
