The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, hosted the representatives of the company “IPE-PROING”, which carried out the process of testing the stability of the main bridge of Mitrovica over the Iber River, namely the measurement of the safety of its supporting structure.
From the results of the measurements, it was concluded that the structure of the Ibri bridge provides the bearing capacity and as such it can be used for use without any load restrictions according to the load model provided by the European load standard EC-1, or EC-1991 .
Allowed reductions L/800 = (25.0*100/800) =31.2, while the max. measured= 4.2 mm << 31.2 mm. These comparisons show that the measured reductions are many times smaller than the allowed ones.
Sophisticated electronic devices (produced in the United States of America) were used to measure test values of subsidence, deformations, and dynamic characteristics.
Until now, the company “IPE-PROING” has tested and analyzed the safety aspect of over 40 bridges and over 20 building structures in our country.
