Regarding bilateral relations, their potential and cooperation programs between Kosovo and Singapore, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, had a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Vivian Balakrishnan, in New York.
Together they discussed the opportunities that would increase trade, economic, cultural and experience exchanges and interactions between the two countries.
In particular, they talked about Singapore’s Smart Nation Initiative, which aims to transform the country through the integration of digital technology in various sectors and the establishment of the Sovereign Fund in Kosovo, which will strengthen the country’s public enterprises by transforming them on powerful corporations that contribute to the economy, and on the ways in which we can benefit from the exchange of experiences in the implementation of these two major projects.
The Prime Minister thanked the Republic of Singapore for the support given since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2016, and emphasized the important role that Singapore can play for Kosovo in expanding cooperation and relations with Southeast Asian countries.
