Prime Minister Kurti met the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel

In New York, within the High Level Week of the United Nations General Assembly, the next meeting was held by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, both the current Deputy Prime Minister and the former Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel.

As one of the first countries that recognized our independence in 2008, Luxembourg has continuously been a supporter of the Republic of Kosovo and a contributor in the field of economy, education, health and security. In this meeting, Prime Minister Kurti and Deputy Prime Minister Bettel discussed interstate relations, the level of applicability and benefits from bilateral agreements that Kosovo and Luxembourg have in various fields, and about the new opportunities for deepening economic cooperation and trade exchanges that in recent years have noted a growth trend.

The Prime Minister emphasized economic and democratic progress and respect for human rights, along with institutional stability, fiscal policies, geographic position and professional workforce, as advantages that Kosovo has for foreign investors. He singled out the advancement and potential that our country has in the field of information and digital services, and the important steps that have been taken in the direction of energy transition, renewable energy and energy efficiency that affect for the better both the environment and the economy.

He also expressed his gratitude for the steadfast support to Kosovo in Kosovo’s membership in international organizations, as well as for the active role, among others, in strengthening society, supporting environmental initiatives, technical assistance, and developing small and medium-sized enterprises. , and sustainable development through the LuxDev Development Agency.

This was the second meeting between Prime Minister Kurti and Mr. Bettel. In July last year, Prime Minister Kurti welcomed then Prime Minister Bettel in Pristina, as part of his official visit together with the former Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte.
