During the morning local time of New York, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti together with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Donika Gërvalla Schwarz, welcomed to the Consulate General of our Republic in New York, for a working morning the Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs of the US State Department, James C. O’Brien, who was joined by the European Union’s emissary for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak.
They discussed the latest developments in the country, in addition to those related to the process of dialogue facilitated by the European Union and regional cooperation on the eve of the next summit of the Berlin Process, which will also mark the 10th anniversary of this important process for the integration of the Western Balkans.
The Prime Minister, among other things, emphasized that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo is maximally engaged in providing quality services to its citizens without distinction and in creating a safe environment for everyone in which the rights of citizens and the law of the Republic are respected.
Prime Minister Kurti also underlined his commitment to regional cooperation on the principles of equal representation and participation among the countries of the Western Balkans and reiterated the commitment and constructive engagement in the normalization process between Kosovo and Serbia according to the principles of the Basic Agreement and its Annex, which should be fully implemented.
