The next meeting within the framework of the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, held with the Vice President of the “Ericsson” company, Lloyd Andrew and the Director of Technology in this company, Erik Ekudden.
They discussed the conditions that Kosovo offers for investments and the advantages that our country has in the field of technology, the progress and improvements noted recently and the opportunities for cooperation, especially in the telecommunications sector. The Prime Minister informed them about the positive developments in the Telecom Company as a result of good management, and about the plans for investments in infrastructure and 5G technology at the country level, as well as about the Government’s digital vision and agenda.
According to the Technology Maturity Index of the World Bank, Kosovo has already been raised from group C to group B for focus on digital governance. The government remains committed to investing in digital infrastructure, human capacity building and the innovation ecosystem that enable the further development of the country’s technology sector.
