After yesterday’s meetings with our diaspora in Munich and Stuttgart, today the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, also met with our compatriots in the city of Cologne.
During his speech, Prime Minister Kurti expressed his gratitude to the emigrant for his continuous contribution to our country.
They discussed the role of the diaspora, common achievements, challenges and the way forward for more progress, well-being and prosperity in the advancement of our state, for social values and fair development.
“We as a state, as a republic and as history, are deeply grateful to you. Germany has been the home where you have flourished, keeping alive the spirit of the homeland and the survival of the nation. German aid has been decisive in the liberation of Kosovo. Not only in diplomatic and economic aspect, but also in the military one. We honor Germany and we honor you, for the way you have contributed to its society, while maintaining strong ties with your homeland.” said the prime minister.
He mentioned some of the successes during our governing mandate where exports have doubled and foreign investments have more than doubled, while we have increased the state budget and reduced the public debt. “We have also invested in key areas such as defense and security, education and health, agriculture and technology,” said the prime minister.
