The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, hosted yesterday in a farewell meeting the ambassador of the United Kingdom, Nicholas Abbott.
This meeting took place after the reception organized by the Prime Minister’s Office for the ambassador on February 1.
In this meeting, Prime Minister Kurti thanked Ambassador Abbott for his work, dedication and cooperation throughout the mandate.
During the conversation, they reflected on the government’s achievements, the challenges and opportunities presented on the way forward towards development and progress.
It was also mentioned the importance that this year marks in the 25th anniversary of the NATO intervention, where the support of the United Kingdom and that of many individuals played a key role in stopping the genocide of Serbia in Kosovo.
Ambassador Abbott has contributed in a valuable way to maintaining and deepening the relations between Kosovo and the United Kingdom, and as an ally and partner country, it will continue with the next ambassador.
Prime Minister Kurti also congratulated Ambassador Abbott on his next assignment and wished him further success.
