Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi meets with Mr. Libor Secka, EU Director General, in the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, met today with Mr. Libor Secka, EU Director General, in the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Czech Ambassador in Prishtina, Mrs. Janina Hrebickova, also took part in the meeting. 

After the meeting, Prime Minister Thaçi said that Kosovo has a secure European future and that domestic institutions are implementing the required criteria for integration into the European Union and the North Atlantic Alliance.

Placing great importance on the fact that the whole region will have a Euro-Atlantic perspective, Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi said “Kosovo has built excellent relations with all the countries in the region, relations which have brought more peace, stability, cooperation and development.” The Prime Minister also said that Kosovo will continue to work closely with all of its partners on the path to Euro-Atlantic integration.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Thaçi thanked the government and the people of the Czech Republic for supporting Kosovo in this important and vital process.

The EU Director General in the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Libor Secka, declared that this country supports Kosovo’s European future and that the Western Balkans is the priority of his country’s foreign policy.

“The Western Balkans has been identified as one of the priorities of our foreign relations, so we will give additional attention to all the countries of this region. We are cooperating with each state, one by one, in order to work out how we can bring these countries closer to the European Union,” said Mr. Secka.
