Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi meets representatives of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, along Deputy Prime Minister Behgjet Pacolli have been hosted at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 

The Secretary General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Adnan Mandouroh, wished Prime Minister Thaçi a warm welcome on behalf of the JCCI and expressed his highest consideration pointing out that the presence of the highest state delegation of Kosovo is a special moment for the JCCI. 

Prime Minister Thaçi briefed JCCI representatives on the security and legislative situation in Kosovo and called on the investors and businesspeople from Saudi Arabia to visit Kosovo as a country of ample opportunities. 

Kosovo is rich in industrial resources, agriculture, tourism and other branches of economy that could be attractive for investors and businessmen from Saudi Arabia, said Prime Minister Thaçi amongst other things. 

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Mr. Behgjet Pacolli specifically informed JCCI representatives about natural resources, business climate, bank and economic aspects in Kosovo, in the region and beyond. 

Deputy Prime Minister Pacolli spoke about concrete fields of economy where Saudi Arabia businessmen could successfully invest and pointed out guarantees for legal protection by the state of Kosovo for foreign investors. 

Being member of the IMF, WB and CEFTA and of the IBRD in a near future, Kosovo is a country that offers abundant opportunities for the international companies and businesses, said Deputy Prime Minister Pacolli amongst other things. 

In the afternoon, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, met with representatives of key media outlets in Saudi Arabia who expressed an interest in the international position of Kosovo, in the recognition of its independence and the stance of the Government of Kosovo in relation to major events in the Islamic countries and beyond. 

Prime Minister Thaçi used the opportunity to thank King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz al Saud in front of the media for supporting Kosovo and for the support that Saudi Arabia has given for the refugees during the war and for the reconstruction of Kosovo.
