Prime Minister Haradinaj chaired the third high-level meeting on the rule of law

Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, chaired the third high-level meeting on the rule of law, where the topic of the meeting was the fight against corruption. Present at this meeting were the US Ambassador Greg Delawie, EU Chief in Kosovo, Nataliya Apostolova, Justice Minister, Abelard Tahiri, Deputy Minister of Finance, Fatmir Gashi, the Head of KJC, Nehat Idrizi, the Head of KPC, Blerim Isufaj, the Chief State Prosecutor, Aleksandër Lumezi, the President of the Supreme Court, Enver Peci, and the heads of the rule of law institutions from the Police, KIA, Customs, Auditor General, PPRC, as well as the representatives from USAID, UNDP, EULEX.

In his speech, Prime Minister Haradinaj asked for concrete actions in the fight against corruption. He urged all rule-of-law institutions to come up with a concrete plan of changes.

Prime Minister Haradinaj focused, in particular, on the legislative progress of the Office of the Disciplinary Counsel, the Criminal Code Reform and the Law on Conflict of Interest.

The Prime Minister stressed that the roles and powers of the anti-corruption bodies and of the Agency itself should be defined.
In this meeting was also reported on the findings of the Auditor General for the KJC and on the cases reported to the Prosecution.
Prime Minister Haradinaj urged to discuss at the next meeting on the issues related to Customs and rule of law.
