The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, Saranda Bogujevci, together with the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, visited the Municipality of Podujeva today, on the occasion of the inauguration of the school the new “Musli Dumoshi” in the village of Dumosh and “Ali Hadri” in the village of Obranqe.
The financial value of the “Musli Dumoshi” school that was inaugurated today is over 584,000 euros, while another half a million euros were invested in the “Ali Hadri” school, which began to be built in September 2022.
Initially, in front of the residents of Dumosh village who had come to celebrate the inauguration of the new school, Prime Minister Kurti said that the month of September is the month of resuming the joint journey of teachers, parents, students and state institutions for a future that reflects the best values of our nation, as he wished for a good and successful year.
He reminded the participants of the laying of the foundation stone of the “Musli Dumoshi” school and the start of its construction on June 19 of last year, which coincides with the Liberation Day of Podujeva.
“I wish that this school, and any other in our country, will be a source of inspiration for every child, to embrace knowledge and seek the best from themselves, from society, from the world… and together with the flow of the Dumnica river, I also saw your successes unstoppable”, said the Prime Minister in his speech.
From there he continued to the village of Obranqe, on the occasion of the inauguration of the “Ali Hadri” school, named after the outstanding historian of our nation. The Prime Minister congratulated the students and residents on the new school, congratulated the Mayor of the Municipality for the capital investments in education, which during his mandate have increased 15 times, while he thanked the teachers and school leaders for the tireless work they do to enlighten the minds of the little ones who are both our present and our future.
The Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, who was accompanying the Prime Minister during this visit, said that the inauguration of these two schools is a pleasure but also a privilege at the same time. She emphasized that as a government and as a minister, we are aware of the duty we have to be close to the citizens for the creation of better, more qualitative conditions, for equal opportunities, for all students.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of the Municipality of Podujeva, Shpejtim Bulliqi said that this is a special day for everyone, because we are opening the doors of the new school in the village of Dumosh and the one in the village of Obranqë, these are important investments for the future of children and for everyone, but at the same time also fulfilled promises of the municipal government that he leads.
After the inauguration ceremonies during which there was also a cultural program prepared by teachers and students, Prime Minister Kurti, together with Minister Nagavci, Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Bogujevci, Mayor Bulliqi visited the new school premises, first of Dumosh, where he was accompanied by the mother of the martyr of the nation, Ali Ajeti, Vahide Ajeti and then in Obranqë where the lesson was already taking place.

Dear sisters and brothers,
Good to see you in Dumosh and thank you for this warm hospitality. It is a pleasure to be back here, where we were together on the occasion of laying the foundation stone on June 19 last year. We started the construction of this school on the Liberation Day of Podujeva, because like freedom, development and prosperity come from hard work and great sacrifices.
In these classes, young minds will grow and shine, which will build a fairer and more beautiful world tomorrow. I wish that this school, and any other in our country, will be a source of inspiration for every child, to embrace knowledge and seek the best from themselves, from society, from the world.
In order to improve the educational conditions and raise the quality, every year we have increased the budget for education. This year, too, we subsidized textbooks and learning materials for students from the first grade to the ninth grade. And from the month of August, we increased the allowances for children up to the age of 16. We are continuing to increase state support to children and families.
Our support for the education and development of our youth will be continuous. Even the investment in the school infrastructure is an investment in the extraordinary potential that the children of Kosovo carry. The financial value of the “Musli Dumoshi” school that we are congratulating today is 584,807.94 euros. The real value naturally lies in the opportunities that this school will create for students, to be educated in dignified conditions, to nurture their talents, and to advance their skills. So, this is how they contribute to the good of society.
Thank you all for your commitment and contribution to the successful completion of the works. Enjoy the new school! May it be a place of joint achievements, and of the growth of knowledgeable citizens who elevate the Republic of Kosovo.

After the inauguration, the inauguration, of the school in Dumosh, we came here to Obranqë, a large settlement of the Llap region, where the school is named after “Ali Hadri”, the prominent historian of our nation, and the investment is close to half a million euros. Compared to three years ago, the Municipality of Podujeva, with the mayor Shpejtim Bulliqi, has increased capital expenditures for education 15-fold. So 1400 percent are the increased investments in the Municipality of Podujeva in terms of capital investments in education. Not 14 percent, not 140 percent, but 1400 percent or 15 times more.
We thank the students, the teachers, the director of the school, Fatmir Halimi, for the tireless work they do to enlighten the minds of the little ones who are both our present and our future.
