The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, participated today in the inauguration of the preschool institution “Fluturat” in the Municipality of Suhareka, an investment of the Ministry of Education, worth of 742,382.05 euros.
At the inauguration of this nursery, the Prime Minister said that it is a special honor to be with them in this important investment for the future of our children and for all the residents of Suhareka.
“The construction of this nursery represents another step forward in our commitment to provide quality and comprehensive education, which does not leave anyone behind, from the first years of life, when development is extremely important”, he said.
MESTI has also covered the investments related to the inventory of the object worth more than 60,000 euros. The nursery offers a modern space of 1800 square meters, suitable for the development of educational and entertainment activities, and has the capacity to receive 160 children.
This investment, according to Prime Minister Kurti, is a proof of successful cooperation between institutions and citizens for a better future for everyone.
From today, as he further highlighted, this facility is more than a building; it is a place of knowledge, education and opportunities for future generations. At the same time, he requested commitment from everyone to make Kosovo a country where every child has the right and opportunity for a good start.
The Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, expressed to the audience that it is our obligation to create the conditions for the proper and maximum development of children’s potential, in addition to the unconditional love we give them as parents, as citizens, and as bearer of institutions.
“Education in early childhood is a priority of our Government and it is no coincidence that it is also the first objective in our education strategy”, added Minister Nagavci.
After the ceremony, Prime Minister Kurti and Minister Nagavci visited the classrooms, where they saw the environment of this preschool institution “Fluturat”.

Education begins at an early age, and it is our responsibility to create conditions for children to grow up safe, protected and equipped with the right foundations for their future, for our future. This nursery will offer not only a warm environment, but also dedicated staff who will take care of the education and well-being of the children here.
We believe that every investment in education is an investment in the future. Every nursery school built is a step towards an equal and just society, where every child has the opportunity to develop and reach his or her full potential.
The value of the works of this project supported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation amounts to 742,382.05 euros. The inventory of the object was also covered by MESTI with a value of more than 60,000 euros. The nursery offers a modern space of 1800 square meters, suitable for the development of educational and entertainment activities, having the capacity to host 160 children.
