Integrated border management – a European model in full accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, – re-emphasized Prime Minister Thaçi

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, took questions from journalists regarding recent developments in the country, after a working meeting of the Joint Coordination Board for Rule of Law and Order.
 
Prime Minister Thaçi there will be law and order in the entire territory of the Republic, and that this requires close cooperation with EULEX and NATO and the United States of America. In the north, there will also be democracy, free elections and a leadership based on the will of the people and in close cooperation with central institutions, as in all other areas of Kosovo”, stressed Prime Minister Thaçi.

Amongst other issues, Mr. Thaçi said that work is being done on a very clear agenda and that everything will be transparent, and the public will be informed on time.
 
Talking about technical dialogue between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia, Prime Minister Thaçi said that these are technical issues, and inter-state relations between two countries, Kosovo and Serbia.
 
“They are inter-state relations and we want to hope that there will be progress in this process so that we can build good neighborliness and open up a Euro-Atlantic perspective for the state of Kosovo, as well as for Serbia, for peace, stability, regional cooperation in general” said Prime Minister Thaçi.
 
Discussing integrated border management, Prime Minister Thaçi stressed that it is a European model, in full accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, its laws and the mandate of the Kosovo Assembly.
