Government of Kosovo held its 50th

The Government of the Republic of Kosovo, led by Prime Minister Isa Mustafa, held its regular meeting, the 50-th in row, in which adopted policies and decisions of its areas of   legal and constitutional responsibilities.

 Government of Kosovo, after reviewing approved the concept document for blood transfusion, control of blood and its products which aims at regulating blood donation, collection, testing, processing, hemovigilence, quality control, storage, management, distribution of blood and its products according to European legislation and standards.

Government appointed directors on the Board of Public Enterprise the Company of Landfill Management.

 It is approved in principle the initiative for the conclusion of the agreement on cooperation for reform between Sweden and Kosovo. The agreement constitutes the framework of cooperation between the two countries in the process of European integration, strengthening of democracy and public administration, promotion of human rights and the rule of law.

 At today’s meeting were approved in principle the initiatives of the conclusion of agreements on international road transport of passengers and goods, separately, between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the Government of the Kingdom of Denmark, the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

Government Cabinet approved a decision to allocate funds to mark the Day of the Bosnian community in Kosovo.
 It also approved in principle the approval of the initiative to the Financial Agreement of the Instrument of Pre-Accession (IPA) for 2012 and for 2013 as amended, between Kosovo and the European Union.

The Kosovo government has recommended to the President of the Republic of Kosovo to authorize the Minister of Education, Science and Technology to sign the agreement on the establishment of “Western Balkan Centre for Research and Innovation”
The government cabinet has given approval the final decision on expropriation for public interest of real property owners and interest holders that are affected by the construction of the Tourist Centre in Brezovica, in the cadastral areas of the municipality of Strpce.

 The Government of Kosovo has approved the decision on defining the amount of pensions for veterans of war of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

Prime Minister Isa Mustafa, on this occasion, appreciated the importance of this decision of the Government for the completion of this process. Prime Minister Mustafa stressed that on this issue were held several meetings with the First Deputy Prime Minister Hashim Thaci, and President of the Commission, where there were present even some ministers, where they agreed that this matter be concluded. The Prime Minister also announced that the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare has prepared an Administrative Instruction and that has already wrote a letter to Ministry of Finance  to determine the amount that will be paid, which is in line with the Budget.
“I think it’s an important act of the Government today to conclude this process, and people to begin to exercise their rights that they are entitled by law. However, other processes that are processes of other complaints remain processes that are on-going and should be concluded. However, with this, from today opens the possibility that all beneficiaries of this right, among KLA veterans, to begin to exercise their rights, “said Prime Minister Mustafa. Prime Minister Isa Mustafa also announced that there will be a meeting of the Government  on Friday, where the Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, shall inform related to  other procedures that are defined in the Administrative Instruction on the exercise of the right of veterans of KLA.

Minister of Public Administration informed the Cabinet about the process of drafting the Strategy of Public Administration Reform and accommodation of independent institutions of Ombudsperson and Kosovo Constitutional Court.

Minister of Finance informed about the situation in the planned budget for expropriation in the public interest, which for this year is spent and future decisions should be evaluated and examined carefully.
 On this issue, Prime Minister Isa Mustafa stressed that it is necessary to apply the discipline for which the Government is determined in terms of expenditures, demanding concrete measures for the utmost respect of financial discipline.
