The government of the Republic of Kosovo held its 70th meeting, led by Prime Minister Isa Mustafa. The government discussed and approved a number of decisions and documents within the scope of its constitutional and legal.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Isa Mustafa, has presented the initiative of Deputy Prime Minister, also the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Shala, 2016 to be considered symbolically as the Year of Mother Teresa in Kosovo. “Considering that this year will be the year of the consecration of Mother Teresa, this year should symbolically be qualified as the Year of Mother Teresa in Kosovo, which we will use for the affirmation of humanity, promotion of understanding, affirmation of assistance, promotion good relations and fair peace and dignity in Kosovo, “said Prime Minister Isa Mustafa.
Government Cabinet unanimously agreed with this initiative.
The Government of the Republic of Kosovo reviewed and approved the legislative program for 2016 which includes the drafting and approval of 87 new draft laws and amendment and supplementation of old laws.
Through a decision adopted today by the cabinet was established Strategic Planning Committee, which will be chaired by the Prime Minister of Kosovo and who will lead the Integrated Planning process in Kosovo. This planning includes determination of strategic priorities of the Government, monitoring the implementation of the National Strategy for Development and monitoring of the National Plan for the implementation of the SAA, sectoral strategies, fiscal policy, finalization of the Medium Term Expenditure Framework, strategic issues of public investment and annual work plan of the Government.
The initiative of the Ministry of Finance for the negotiation of the International Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the German Development Bank, KfW Frankfurt Am Main, to finance the project “Removal of Wastewater in South-West Kosovo, Phase IV” in the municipality of Pec is approved. The project is co-financed by different funds, while the agreement foresees a financial contribution of the German Development Bank, KfW, in the amount of 9 million euros for this project.
The government approved the decision on the election of a member for meeting the Board of Directors of Public Enterprise, Regional Water Company, Radoniq in Gjakova.
The Government has authorized the Ministry of Finance to make transfers of funds in the amount of 40 thousand euros from the Unforeseen expenses program.
The request of the Kosovo Judicial Council for reimbursement of allowances and financial incentives for the 74 judges of the serious crimes for 2016 in the amount of 279.720 euros has also been approved. A gross addition for these judges is three hundred euros per month.
The Government of the Republic of Kosovo has adopted a decision which instructed Regulatory Authority of Electronic and Postal Communications to issue the authorization of temporary and limited operation of new enterprises “MTS” D.O.O The decision shall enter into force on the day that international telecommunications authority will award the telephone code to the Republic of Kosovo.
The Government Cabinet was informed by the Report on the Performance of revenue and expenditure for 2015. The report highlights that in 2015 budget revenues were realized in the amount of 1 billion 452 million euros, which represents the realization of revenues at the rate of 98, 4% of projected revenues, which are 9% higher than last year. Total expenditures will reach the amount of $ 1 billion and 553 million euros, which is 95.2% of anticipated expenditures, and which are 5.7% higher than last year.
In the meeting today was approved the decision to change and amend the decision of the Government of Kosovo for the establishment of the National Council for Economic Development, under which the council will be members of the German-Kosovar Chamber of Commerce and the Council of European investors.
