The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo for Minority Affairs and Human Rights, Emilija Rexhepi, last week visited the United States of America, where she participated in various events and conferences, in which she shared her vision for human rights, peace, solidarity and the power of hope.

Also, Deputy Prime Minister Rexhepi received the Peace Prize, shared by the Federation for World Peace and Love, which confirms our commitment to global peace and love between the peoples of the world.

In her speeches, she emphasized the importance of solidarity, tolerance and protection of communities. “Kosovo, as the youngest state in the world, a country that suffered various wars and conflicts, where thousands of civilians and innocents, children, women, old people lost their lives, where even 25 years after the war we have thousands of missing persons but also a country full of hope, full of young people who constantly fight for justice, equality and respect for the law. Through our experience, we realized that hope is the main force that pushes us towards building a safer, more progressive and more responsible future”, she said, adding that the past is painful and cannot be forgotten, but we are all obliged to build a brighter future for all our citizens.

“One country, regardless of nation, religion, cultures, traditions and different customs, these are the values of our multi-ethnic Kosovo and we are fighting with all our strength to preserve and nurture them as a national asset”, said Deputy Prime Minister Rexhepi. Also, she said that in a world that faces complex challenges, we must rely on the strength of conscience and faith for a better tomorrow. According to the deputy prime minister, only with joint efforts can we form a world that rests on the foundations of peace, love and solidarity.

Finally, Deputy Prime Minister Rexhepi thanked the Federation for World Peace and Love and the Permanent Mission of Kiribati to the United Nations for their dedicated work to promote peace and understanding between peoples. She concluded by saying that our conversations will inspire hope, drive change and pave the way for a brighter future for all generations to come.
