Deputy Prime Minister Edita Tahiri meets Albanian Ambassador to Kosovo Islam Lauka

In this meeting there was discussion about advancing of cooperation between the two states and the existing excellent relations between Kosovo and Albania were highly acknowledged. It was also stated that both states have good opportunities to coordinate their efforts towards the European integration. 

On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Tahiri said that Kosovo is maximally working on meeting the requirements in its Euro-Atlantic journey. The readiness of Kosovo to engage in the technical dialogue was pointed out during the meeting as a value that facilitates its European journey. Mrs. Tahiri said that the European Union has concluded that Kosovo is accomplishing its obligations deriving from the agreements reached in Brussels therefore it calls for contractual relations with the EU. It was also assessed that the 20th of November is the last date when Serbia should start implementing the agreements reached in Brussels. 

Ambassador Lauka said that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo fully supports the technical dialogue between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia and calls for the implementation of these agreements in practice. According to him, regional cooperation will pave the way to the integration of the Balkans in Europe.
