The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, today welcomed the new Head of the EU office in Kosovo, Ambassador Aivo Orav.
In this first informative and working meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi extended a warm welcome to Ambassador Orav in Kosovo and expressed his commitment and willingness to build a close partnership for the advancement of Kosovo’s European agenda.
The focus of the conversation was the relations between Kosovo and the European Union, the new leadership after the European elections, inter-institutional cooperation, governance and Kosovo’s progress in democratization, rule of law, energy policies and economic reforms, which were recently welcomed by the President of European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi emphasized Kosovo’s commitment to continue the necessary reforms that will advance its position towards receiving the questionnaire before EU candidate status, and also confirmed the commitment to fulfilling the reforms from the Growth Plan.
