The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, today welcomed the new ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Kosovo, Karin Boven, in an informative meeting.
Kosovo and the Netherlands enjoy excellent relations. In their first meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi and Ambassador Boven talked about the opportunities and the will to deepen them even further, especially in the economic and commercial fields, but also in other areas of common interest.
The focus of the conversation was the latest developments in the field of European integration, economic development and regional relations. Ambassador Boven was informed about the government so far, the results in the field of rule of law, economic indicators, democratic progress, as well as about the dialogue process, European reforms, and the last steps before the formal submission of the Growth Plan to the European Commission.
During the discussion, the importance and need for the immediate removal of EU measures against Kosovo was emphasized so that our country reaches the maximum potential of the European agenda, which is also in the interest of the European Union, in addition to Kosovo and its citizens.
He expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom of the Netherlands for the continuous support for Kosovo, for bilateral partnership and for the contribution of the Dutch embassy in strengthening the civil society in the country, meanwhile he wished Ambassador Boven success in her new task and welcome to Kosovo.
