The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, today welcomed the new Ambassador of Austria to Kosovo, George Schnetzer.
He welcomed Ambassador Schnetzer. Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi emphasized the excellent relations between our two countries and thanked Austria for its continuous support for Kosovo.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi also spoke about the fruitful cooperation with the former ambassador of Austria in Kosovo, Christoph Weidinger and his contribution, and offered the new ambassador George Schnetzer close cooperation in further deepening the relations between Kosovo and Austria.
Among the topics discussed during the meeting was Kosovo’s journey towards European integration, where Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi emphasized that our country is institutionally prepared and ready for important further steps towards EU integration, where the Republic of Kosovo welcomes the new expansion plan , including the principle that the process should be based on meritocracy.
