The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, participated in the event organized for the National Day of the Ashkali Community yesterday evening. In this event, among the many participants, the Speaker of the Assembly, Glauk Konjufca, was also present.
The third deputy prime minister, Emilija Rexhepi, the minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, the deputy of the Assembly from among the minorities and the head of the EU office in Kosovo, Tomas Szunyog.
In his speech, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi emphasized that on this very special day, we should feel “proud of your values as a community, of your current achievements and contribution to a successful, dynamic and multi-ethnic Kosovo, as well as of your worthy representation of committed during these years.”
“Kosovo is proud of the fact that it has scientists, sportsmen, policemen, teachers, activists, writers, businessmen, and many other members of the community who contribute to our country”, added Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi.
The well-being of minority communities, mitigation of discrimination, social and economic development are some of the priorities of our government, so we will always try to find solutions to every challenge together, because only together can we succeed and improve it even further the quality of life of citizens and all communities.
The Government of Kosovo has proven its dedication and commitment to creating the best conditions for all citizens, so that we can create an inclusive society, where everyone benefits in different ways and with direct impact.
“We will work together and dedicatedly for all ages, for a better life and for an inclusive and equal society”, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi concluded his speech.
