During today’s day, the First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, welcomed the Finnish ambassador to Kosovo, Matti Nissinen, to the meeting.
The parties talked about the European integration process of Kosovo and the goals and objectives of our country on the way forward. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that Kosovo’s application for membership in the European Union remains a priority and that further concrete steps are needed in handling the application and receiving the questionnaire.
During the meeting, they also discussed the momentum around the expansion process as well as the Growth Plan, in which Kosovo was the first country to fulfill the required and necessary steps such as the delivery of the reform agenda.
The Deputy Prime Minister addressed the need to remove as soon as possible the punitive measures by the European Union, which remain unjust. He also informed the ambassador about the latest developments and the dialogue process.
For his part, Ambassador Nissinen reconfirmed the strong relations between our two countries and the steadfast support for Kosovo. The Deputy Prime Minister thanked him for the continuous and deep cooperation and today’s meeting.
