The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, hosted the head of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Kosovo, Nuno Queiros.
In this meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities for deepening cooperation, where Mr. Queiros expressed his willingness and readiness to support the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi appreciated the key contribution of the UNDP mission in Kosovo and their continuous support. He spoke about the objectives of the government program, which are work and justice, as complementary to each other, the work developed in this direction and the support in fulfilling the objectives of the development agenda of Kosovo.
An important aspect is the special attention of the Government in the fight against corruption and essential reforms regarding the justice system. Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi also expressed gratitude for the role of UNDP in empowering women and supporting initiatives. He also expressed our interest in the protection and advancement of the rights of all minorities in Kosovo, without distinction, as a multi-ethnic and comprehensive state.
Mr. Queiros mentioned the importance of investing in training, especially for young people, businesses and young entrepreneurs, and the importance of creating opportunities for employment, to maximize the knowledge and experience gained.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi thanked the head of UNDP in Kosovo, Nuno Queiros, for the meeting, conversation and continuous cooperation.
