The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue, of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, welcomed in a meeting the Union of Businessmen Vision for Presheva, Medvegja and Bujanoc headed by Xhelal Memeti, Fatgzim Latifi, Muhamed Ramadani and Shefki Jonuzi. Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi was accompanied in this meeting by the Deputy Minister of the MBPRD, Mr. Imri Demelezi.
Presheva, Medvegja and Bujanoci, in addition to systematic discrimination, also suffer from economic marginalization by Serbian state institutions. Ignoring and not implementing the agreements with the political and institutional representatives of the Albanians of the Presheva Valley has brought a marked lack of attention to this area.
The meeting also discussed the situation of farmers. The government has addressed the issues related to the agriculture of the Presheva Valley, which remains one of the resources of the citizens of these municipalities, as an opportunity identified for support.
In this direction, it is important to create the agricultural map of the Presheva Valley, and to design training programs for farmers and livestock farmers, as well as financial support programs.
The Government of the Republic of Kosovo remains committed to addressing these issues and supporting the Albanians of the Presheva Valley.
