The First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, hosted the non-resident ambassador of Ireland for Kosovo, Ragnar Almqvist.
During the conversation, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi expressed his gratitude for Ireland’s steadfast support to our country, and especially for the support in the international arena. Ireland will also take over the EU presidency in the second half of 2026.
In the meeting, they talked about the strengthening of relations and bilateral cooperation between our two countries in areas of common interest. The focus was on the possibility of cultivating commercial exchange, economic investments and cultural projects between our two countries, with an emphasis on the exchange of experiences and the engagement of the diaspora.
The Deputy Prime Minister also informed the ambassador about the current developments in the country, as well as the progress that our country has seen in more than three years of our government, emphasizing the economic indicators.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi thanked the ambassador for the meeting and conversation, adding that Kosovo remains ready for close cooperation with Ireland and further deepening of relations between us.
