The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi and the Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Liburn Aliu, were hosted in a meeting in Podgorica by the Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro, Ervin Ibrahimovic.
The parties talked at the meeting about joint projects, the possibilities of deepening economic cooperation, overcoming existing barriers and easing administrative procedures.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi spoke about the European integration process after the application for membership in December, appreciating Montenegro’s support for Kosovo’s European journey. From Montenegro we can jointly benefit from the experience in the process and move towards the common objective of joining the European family. Kosovo and Montenegro belong to the European Union.
The meeting also discussed infrastructure projects, where Minister Aliu said that we will work intensively to advance the construction of the Pejë-Rozhajë roads and the construction of the Deçan-Plavë road, these long-awaited projects for the citizens of both countries, of major importance for infrastructure and economy, national projects that facilitate the connection of citizens of Kosovo with Montenegro.
