In Berlin was the next hospitality given to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti by our compatriots living in Germany.
Accompanied by the Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, Prime Minister Kurti shared with the many present the achievements and successes of the country and government in all areas in these more than three and a half years of government.
He invited our diaspora to come to Kosovo as often as possible, as he introduced them to the institutional opportunities we have created for them, including the Citizen Diplomacy Program and the opportunities offered by the new statute of the University of Pristina for academics from the diaspora.
“Unlike three decades ago when we said come and contribute by sacrificing, now we say come and earn by investing. In Kosovo you can earn”, said the Prime Minister.
Speaking about the important role that the diaspora has played over the years, he said that survival in the 80s and survival in the 90s with peaceful resistance could not have been sustained without them, the liberation war also would not could be maintained without them, and the post-war development is being done together with them.
In his address, the prime minister also singled out the dual education that is being developed in Kosovo in 23 schools, 14 municipalities and 12 profiles from which 1,600 students have benefited, and which is based and inspired precisely by German-speaking countries and about which we have learned a lot from experiences our exile’s own.
“If there is one thing that is more important than the economy and education, it is the connection between the economy and education”, added the prime minister while talking about the benefits of dual education.
Among other things, he called on the compatriots of the second and third generation to learn the Albanian language with as much dedication and discipline as possible.
“Learning the Albanian language is not only an opportunity and proof, but I believe it is also a guarantee that integration without assimilation takes place, and this is what we need, integration without assimilation”, were the words of the Prime Minister addressed to those present.
This was the fourth consecutive meeting of Prime Minister Kurti in German cities during this weekend. Previously, the prime minister was welcomed in Munich, Stuttgart and Cologne.
