The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, organized at the Open Balcony this morning, a reception for Ukrainian citizens who work and live in Kosovo, on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine.
In the conversation, the Prime Minister first congratulated all Ukrainian citizens and Ukraine on the Independence Day of their country.
The Prime Minister further said that our shared histories of hardship have made us particularly sensitive to the deeply painful experience of facing constant threats from an authoritarian regime.
He added that the democracy we have built in Kosovo is not only for the people of our country, but also welcoming for everyone, especially for our friends who fight for freedom and democracy.
Expressing his high appreciation and solidarity with Ukraine and the Ukrainian citizens, the Prime Minister said that the government will continue to fully and steadfastly support Ukraine’s just fight against the invasion and unjustified aggression of the Russian Federation.
Among the participants in this reception were the head of the UNICEF office in Kosovo, Veronika Vashchenko, as well as the Director of the EBRD for Kosovo, Sergiy Maslichenko.
